Exhilarating SPE Kuala Lumpur Energy Run 2023, in partnership with The Society of Petroleum Engineering UiTM Student Chapter (SPE-UiTM SC) and faculty of Engineering of UiTM, Shah Alam at Padang Kawad, UiTM!
The thrill, excitement, exhilarating memories casted in each and every one who attended the run aimed to strengthen the relationship and the spirit of collaboration between academia and industry whilst fostering healthy lifestyle practices. Amazed with such a diversity of the participants, Industry colleagues, their children’s, babies, kids, students, our friends from other nations. There were even parents running while pushing the baby strollers. Such an amazing union as if like a big family so close to each other running for a greater cause. The program made the bonding between Industry patrons closer just like a big family reunion. The program had paved ways to strengthen the relationship and the spirit of collaboration within student chapter and industry patron. 60% of the proceed to be to student welfare and programs associated to nurture student development. 40% of the proceeds shall be donated in support of humanitarian crisis in Gaza. About 400 runners comprise of UiTM academic staff, students, Industry professionals and their family members participated. En. Hazli Sham SPE APAC Regional Director also join the program and flagged off the run along with SPE KL Chairman, Ts Anwarudin Saidu Mohamed, and PROFESOR. DR. Hamidah Mohd Saman, Deputy Chancellor, Faculty of Engineering.
Let’s show our solidarity to Gaza where the portion of the proceeds will be donated to Persatuan Cinta Gaza to help whatever we can in our capacity!

I am delighted to announce the remarkable achievements of the 𝐒𝐏𝐄-𝐊𝐋 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐑𝐮𝐧, a groundbreaking sports event that serves as the inaugural flagship gathering uniting all SPE Student Chapters under the SPE Kuala Lumpur Section. Thank you Ts. Anwarudin Saidu Mohamed and Mr. Firdaus Kamal for planning this event.
As the President of SPE-UTM SC and 𝐂𝐨-𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫 alongside SPE-KL and SPE-UiTM SC, I am immensely proud of our collaborative efforts with SPE Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS Student Chapter (SPE-UTP SC), SPE Universiti Malaya Student Chapter (SPE UM SC), and our strategic partners: SPE UMS SC, SPE UCSI University SC, SPE Asia Pacific University.
This monumental event brought together the energy industry’s future leaders, fostering camaraderie and a shared passion for excellence. From the outset, the dedication and enthusiasm of our SPE-UTM SC team were instrumental in making this event a resounding success.
